The cultural visit of students was planned to Dilli
Haat,as India is a country of varied cultures and Dilli
haat is the venue that portrays it the best.
8 am:- Students reached school and assembled for the
prayer and they were briefed the purpose of the visit
to Dilli Haat.
8:15 am:- Students went for breakfast.
8:45 am:- Students assembled at the play ground.
9:00 am:- From the school premises 48 students boarded
the bus with their respective teachers and the buses
were all set to march.
9:45 am:- We reached Dilli Haat and met Mr. Rajesh(
011 26119055)who organized the field trip.
The 62 stalls selling handicrafts were allotted to
craftsmen who come from all corners of the vast &
varied land of India
The DILLI HAAT provided the ambience
of a traditional Rural Haat or village market, but one
suited for more contemporary needs. Here one sees a
synthesis of crafts, food and cultural activity.
Students could see the dancing figures of Manipuri dance
and were briefed about the culture of eastern states.
Students were shown antique decorative pieces made of
bronze and the properties of bronze, an alloy was explained
to them.
Wood carving from Uttar Pradesh , pearls from Hyderabad
and fabrics from different states ,there significance
with climatic conditions was explained to the students.
There were a wide variety of artifacts from almost all
the states of India.
Students and teachers had a chance to visit Dilli
Haat which was enjoyable and knowledgeable trip. Students
and teachers reached school premises at
1:15 pm.
