Mathematics Laboratory is a place where students can
learn and explore mathematical concepts and verify mathematical
facts and theorems through a variety of activities using
different materials. These activities may be carried
out by the teacher or the students to explore, to learn,
to stimulate interest and to develop favourable attitude
towards mathematics.
A Math Lab is a space designed for students to learn
mathematics by performing activities and hands on experience.
A ‘ MATH LAB ‘ provides wide variety of
materials to play with and learn the concepts. Math’s
teaching and learning for can entirely be done with
activities and experiments by students. Math Lab also
encourages group learning and co-operative learning
among children.
Mathematics is said to be the science of logic. Over
the years we have found that many students develop a
phobia for this otherwise fascinating, interesting and
important subject. Having realized this, we have setup
a Maths Laboratory so that students can learn the fundamentals
of Mathematics through the methodology of activity based
learning.
